Yellow fever: A vaccination campaign is underway in the city of Douala
A fatal viral hemorrhagic disease, Yellow Fever is transmitted by the bite of infected Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, which bite mainly during the day.
To stop and prevent the transmission of this disease, which can cause devastating epidemics, Cameroon is organizing a vaccination campaign (Vaccin anti-amaril_VAA) from July 24 to 30, 2024, in the 09 Health Districts of the city of Douala, namely the Health Districts of Bangue, Boko, Bonassama, Cité des Palmiers, Deïdo, Japoma, Logbaba, New Bell and Nylon.
For this campaign, which targets adults and children aged 09 months to 60 years, several public places have been selected as sites, including hospitals, businesses, universities, and places of worship.
The vaccine is administered by injection into the left shoulder.
Remember that a single dose of this vaccine is enough to provide lifelong protection.
